Effect paint Ottocento

Ottocento OIKOS is an ecological decorative paint that creates a luxurious and softly shimmering effect on the wall surface, reminiscent of velvet fabric. Its visual effect varies depending on the direction of the light and the angle of view, making it a lively and dynamic choice for both classic and modern interiors. The product has been used in history in mansions and prestigious houses to create elegant and unique spaces - today it brings the same dignity and aesthetics to modern homes and public spaces. Ottocento is available in both glossy and matt versions and meets the requirements of emission class A+. It is non-toxic, free of heavy metals and aromatic solvents. The product has an EPD environmental certificate.

Applications: Interior walls in private homes, hotels, restaurants, reception areas or any space where you want to combine elegance with a soft and sophisticated wall effect.

Primer and application instructions: The surface must be cleaned carefully and old flaking paint layers removed.

• For absorbent surfaces (e.g. plaster, gypsum): priming CRILUX or NEOFIX products.
• Uneven surfaces can be smoothed FONDO MURALES is recommended.
• Recommended primer is SUPERCOLOR or ULTRASATEN OPACO OIKOS, thinned (40% or 20–25% with water depending on the effect selected).

Application techniques

• Antico Velluto: irregular application with a steel trowel, then smooth the surface to obtain a deep velvety effect.
  • Coverage: approx. 7–9 m²/l
• Antico Velluto Verticale: apply with vertical or diagonal strokes, finish in the same direction.
• Blot – apply irregularly with a brush, smooth immediately with a dry brush.
  • Consumption: 8–10 m²/l
• Seta Stellata – like Seta, but add DECORGLITTER (1 bottle/litre) before application to bring out the shimmering pigments.

Finishing and protection: If necessary, the surface can be protected with a clear varnish, such as WATINS LUX or IGROLUX, which improves its wear resistance.

Safety and environment

Ottocento does not contain heavy metals such as lead or chromium, nor aromatic or chlorine-based solvents. There is no risk of hazardous polymerization. The product can be disposed of according to normal regional waste disposal regulations.
