Il Primer OIKOS is a special primer designed to strengthen porous and weathered surfaces, improve adhesion and create a smooth and breathable base for decorative finishes. Its unique acrylic and titanium dioxide-filled formula penetrates deeply into the surface, seals and stabilizes the substrate, facilitating the application and durability of the final coating. This multi-purpose primer is ideal for, among others: Lime paint surfaces, plaster and alkaline surfaces, aged, weathered and crumbling surfaces, thick and uneven paint layers, rustic and old-fashioned stucco surfaces.
Il Primer compacts and levels uneven surfaces, making it the perfect base for applications such as limewash, decorative glazes, thick layers of paint and stucco. It is low-odor, fire-safe and environmentally friendly, and meets the strict A+ emission ratings.

Instructions for use

• Preparation: Thoroughly clean the surface to be treated, remove loose paint layers, dirt and dust. If the wall is very porous or weathered, treat it first with NEOFIXor CRILUXstrengthening agent.
• Mixing and Dilution
  Low absorbent surface: Dilute 50% with water
  Normal absorbent: Dilute 75% with water
  Highly absorbent surface: Dilute 100% with water
• Application
  Use roller, brush or spray (nozzle size 1.7 mm)
  Apply 1 coat, ensuring even coverage
• Drying time
  Interim drying time: 6 hours before applying the next treatment coat
  Full drying time: 10–12 hours
• Finishing
  Once the primer has dried, you can apply lime paints, decorative glazes, stuccos and other finishing products
