Elastrong Gum
Elastrong Gum OIKOS is a pigmented, highly flexible elastomeric coating designed for use as an intermediate layer in an elastomeric three-stage treatment system, to be finished with ELASTRONG PAINT GUM . Its unique formula, which contains acrylic elastomer resins, titanium dioxide and organic and inorganic pigments, provides exceptional flexibility and long-lasting protection. The product forms a water-repellent, UV-protected and weather-resistant protective film that effectively prevents the formation of mold and algae. Elastrong Gum retains its elasticity even under the influence of freeze-thaw cycles and strong UV radiation. This makes it an ideal solution for protecting facade surfaces prone to cracking or micro-cracking, especially in restoration projects, stone structures and old buildings.
Key features:
- Extremely elastic composition: Retains its flexibility over time even in demanding climatic conditions.
- Water-repellent and UV-resistant: Effectively protects against moisture, pollution, sunlight and weather changes.
- Mold and algae resistant: Suitable for use on damp and shady walls - for additional protection, the STERYLPLUSadditive can be used.
- Filling and reinforcing intermediate coat: Improves adhesion and durability of the finishing product.
- Environmentally friendly: Low odor, contains no heavy metals or harmful solvents, is non-flammable.
Applications and technical application:
Elastrong Gum is designed for the protection of exterior and interior walls, especially in areas where:
- Cracks and micro-fractures
- Structural stress or moisture
- Unevenness of old surfaces
Application method:
- Prepare the surface: Remove loose particles, dust and dirt. If necessary, use NEOKRYLL or BLANKOR -primer to equalize absorption properties.
- Apply intermediate coat:
- Smooth surface: Dilute 10% with water and apply with a brush or short-pile roller.
- Orange peel effect: Apply undiluted with a medium-grit sponge roller.
- Drying time: Wait 6-8 hours before applying the finishing coat, e.g. ELASTRONG PAINT GUM .
Technical data:
- Composition: Acrylic elastomer resins, titanium dioxide, pigments, stabilizers
- Coverage: 4–5 m²/l in one coat depending on the absorbency of the surface and the desired effect
- Dilution: 10% with water (smooth surface)
- Application methods: Brush, roller, spray
- Drying time: approx. 6 hours between coats between
Elastrong Gum is the professional choice when a flexible, protective and finish-enhancing intermediate layer is needed for challenging surfaces. It guarantees a long-lasting and technically high-quality finish, even in the most demanding conditions.
