Decorsil Primer
Decorsil Primer OIKOS is a special salt-blocking siloxane primer, specially developed for use with breathable siloxane coatings and dehumidifying mortars. The product forms a deep-penetrating, pore-binding layer that strengthens the wall surface and prevents the accumulation of salts that can be caused by capillary moisture and internal moisture rise. Salt deposits are one of the most visible and damaging damages on wall surfaces – they impair both aesthetics and structural integrity. Decorsil Primer acts as an effective barrier, preventing the rise of these salts while ensuring that the wall remains breathable and the finishing products remain beautiful for a long time.

Applications and application instructions:
Decorsil Primer is specifically designed for use with:
- With high diffusion and moisture-removing mortars
- On interior and exterior walls in historic buildings
- In areas subject to rising damp or salt damage
Application method:
- Clean the surface to be treated thoroughly: remove loose material, dust and possible impurities.
- New mortars must be completely dry and hardened.
- Apply the ready-to-use solution with a brush or roller. Can be thinned with water up to 10% if necessary.
- In case of high salt concentrations, the treatment can be repeated.
- Allow to dry for at least 12 hours before applying the finishing coating.
- Coverage: approx. 5–8 m²/l depending on the absorbency of the substrate
