Rasokol
Rasokol OIKOS is a carefully developed, ready-mixed powder mortar that is ideal for the implementation of thermal insulation systems both indoors and outdoors. The product is based on Portland cement, quartz sand and synthetic fillers and is available in two grain sizes: Fino (0.6 mm) and Medio (0.8 mm). Rasokol's unique adhesion and filling properties make it the perfect choice for leveling, reinforcing and insulating various surfaces.
Key features
- Strong adhesion and durability: Rasokol provides excellent mechanical adhesion to thermal insulation boards and reinforcing meshes.
- Versatile use: Suitable for new construction and renovation projects, attics, basements, facades, ventilated structures and roof substrates.
- Dual-purpose mortar: Works as both an adhesive and a leveling layer on top of insulation boards.
- Non-flammable and environmentally friendly: Safe to use both indoors and outdoors. Contains no solvents or harmful substances.
- Adaptable viscosity: Can be mixed with water to form an easy-to-apply paste, achieving a smooth and strong surface.
- Certified performance: Designed to meet the high technical requirements of modern thermal insulation systems.
Applications and technical application
- Applications: EPS and XPS boards, polyurethane boards, cork, mineral fibre boards, cement-based plasters, concrete, brick, fibre cement boards and dried gypsum substrates (primed).
- Surface preparation: Thoroughly clean the surface to be treated. Remove all loose material, dust, grease and any possible contaminants. Make sure the surface is dry, load-bearing and even. For weakly bonded surfaces, OIKOS NEOFIX primer is recommended.
- Mixing and application: Mix one 25 kg bag with approx. 6 litres of clean water using a mixer drill at low speed. Let the mass rest for approx. 10 minutes and mix again before use. The finished mass remains usable for approx. 4 hours.
- Application methods: Board attachment: Apply the mortar with a notched trowel to the entire surface of the insulation board or as an edge and spot application.
- Floor coat: After attachment, wait 24 hours and apply a layer of approx. 2–3 mm of Rasokol. Embed the glass fibre mesh in the floor coat with an overlap of 10 cm. The second floor coat can be applied the following day.
- Final work: Finishing products can only be applied when the surface is completely dry and cured.
- Fire rating: Non-flammable
Safety information
The product does not contain heavy metals, chlorinated solvents or other harmful substances. It is not flammable and does not cause hazardous polymerization reactions. Use normal precautions when handling cement-based products. Avoid contact with eyes or respiratory tract. Wear personal protective equipment. Waste and spillages must be disposed of in accordance with local and national waste management regulations.
Rasokol is the professional's choice for fixing and reinforcing insulation boards when you want to combine performance, safety and environmental friendliness.
