Thermal insulation paint Micotral

Micotral OIKOS is an innovative thermal insulation and anti-mold paint that prevents moisture condensation, mold and algae formation and improves energy efficiency. Its unique composition contains hollow glass microspheres that act as an insulator and reduce temperature differences between the wall surface and the indoor air, thus preventing the formation of condensation. This breathable, washable and completely non-toxic paint is suitable for spaces exposed to moisture, such as residential buildings, bathrooms, basements, schools and other public spaces. Available in 116 different shades, it allows for both functionality and aesthetic finishes.

Application and instructions

• Surface preparation:
  Remove any mold and algae with Oikosin Sterylfix or Sterylsan cleaning agent.
  The surface must be clean, dry and dust-free.
  If the wall is very porous or crumbling, it is recommended to use Oikosin primer (Neofix, Crilux or Il Pigmentato).
• Painting:
  Stir the paint thoroughly before use.
  Thinning with water:
  To obtain a smooth matte finish: Thin 25–30% with water and apply 2 coats.
  To obtain an orange peel effect: Thin the first coat 25–30% with water, apply the second coat directly without thinning.
  Only apply with a brush or roller to avoid damaging the heat-insulating microspheres.
• Drying time:
  Touch dry in approximately 1–1.5 hours (+20°C and 75% humidity).
  Completely dry and solid in approximately 4 days.
