Betoncryll Semitrasparente OIKOS is a colored, semi-opaque acrylic protective agent, specially developed for the long-term protection and aesthetic enhancement of concrete surfaces. The product combines a decorative effect with a technically high level of protection. It forms a water-repellent, breathable and semi-permeable protective film that is resistant to harsh climatic conditions, temperature fluctuations and environmental pollutants. In particular, it prevents the penetration of CO₂ and SO₂ gases, which can cause carbonation of the concrete and thus corrosion of the reinforcement – ​​one of the most common causes of premature damage to concrete. The tinting of the product gives the concrete a new look without losing its original character, as it preserves the visibility of the surface structure thanks to its semi-opaque effect.

Applications and application instructions:

Particularly suitable for:

• Facade concrete, retaining walls, plinths
• Fiber cement boards and masonry structures
• Natural stone surfaces where you want to retain the texture of the material but add protection and color

Surface preparation:

• Carefully clean the surface from loose particles, dust, soot, grease and other contaminants.
• For old or porous substrates, priming with NEOKRYLL-deep primer is recommended.
• Ensure that new concrete surfaces are completely dry and hardened.

Application method:

• Use brush, roller or spray (nozzle 1.3-1.7 mm)
• First coat: thinned 40% with drinking water
• Second coat (if desired): thinned 20% with drinking water
• Drying time between coats: 4–6 hours
• Fully dry: 10–12 hours at normal room temperature

Technical data:

• Coverage: 11–13 m²/l depending on the substrate and desired coverage
• Cleaning: Tools can be washed with water
• Additional protection: To prevent microbial growth, an STERYLPLUSadditive can be added
