Tintable Impregnation Betoncryll Pigmentato

Betoncryll Pigmentato OIKOS is a high-coverage, colored acrylic-based protective coating, specially designed for long-term protection of concrete and other mineral surfaces outdoors. The product forms a water-repellent and breathable protective layer that is highly resistant to freeze-thaw cycles, the penetration of CO₂ and SO₂ gases and the natural alkalinity of concrete. Thanks to this innovative composition, Betoncryll PigmentatoBetoncryll Pigmentato prevents carbonation of concrete and thus protects its reinforcement from rusting – one of the most common causes of structural deterioration. At the same time, it gives the facade an elegant and uniform appearance, hiding minor irregularities and damage. It is ideally suited for the protection and finishing of concrete walls, fiber cement boards, masonry and natural stone surfaces, even in demanding climatic conditions.

Main features:

• Colorful and opaque protection: Available in a wide range of shades, according to the Top Exterior Line color chart (over 620 shades).
• Anti-carbonation effect: Prevents CO₂ penetration and protects the reinforcement from rusting.
• Water-repellent but breathable: Does not block the passage of water vapor on the surface, which prevents the accumulation of moisture in the structures.
• Resistant to acids and pollutants: Protects against urban pollution and damage caused by air pollution.
• Prevents mold and algae growth: Antimicrobial effect - for greater protection, the STERYLPLUSadditive can be added.
• Environmentally friendly and safe: Odorless, non-flammable, free of heavy metals and harmful solvents.

Applications and application:

Particularly suitable for:

• Reinforced concrete facades
• Masonry structures, fiber cement boards and stone surfaces
• Repair and restoration sites (e.g. building plinths, wall surfaces)

Surface preparation:

Remove old paint and loose parts, clean surfaces from dust, grease and dirt. For poorly bonded or old surfaces, we recommend NEOKRYLL-primer. New surfaces must be completely dry and hardened (at least 30 days for concrete).

Application instructions:

• Apply two coats of Betoncryll Pigmentato paint: First coat: diluted 40% with drinking water. Second coat: thinned 20% with drinking water
• Intermediate drying time: 4–6 hours
• Application tools: brush, roller or spray (nozzle 1.3–1.7 mm)

Technical data:

• Coverage: 5–7 m²/l (in two coats) depending on the substrate and structure
• Drying time: Touch dry: 1–2 t
• Fully dry: 10–12 h (20 °C / RH 75 %)
• SD value (water vapor permeability): excellent
• Cleaning: tools with water
