At Deco Paint Finland we want the choice of colours to be inspiring, practical and above all safe. That is why we now offer the opportunity to: book an appointment at our showroom and pick up free colour samples from OIKOS' new Colour Collection and Colour Selection collections. In total, there are 7 colour families, 5 sample books and 222 carefully selected shades available - tools with which you can build a visually coherent and personal whole.

What is Colour Collection & Selection?

OIKOS is an Italian pioneer in the paint industry, developing ecological and environmentally friendly paint products. Their new collections are designed to make choosing a shade easier from the very beginning:
Colour Collection - thousands of colors for interior and exterior surfaces, organized for easy selection and combination.
Colour Selection - five themed colour families developed by colour expert Vicky Syriopoulou. Each shade has been chosen to support a sense of well-being and harmony, from pastels to deep earthy tones.

All colours are formaldehyde-free, A+ rated and water-based, safe for both homes and public spaces.

That's why you need the right colour swatches

A color may look good on the screen, but the real impression is only created when you view the color in the space it is intended for. Lighting, surface materials and the dimensions of the space affect the final experience of the shade.
In Deco Paint's showroom you can compare large-scale color samples in natural and artificial light, next to different materials, such as wood, stone, textiles or tiles. This way you avoid mistakes and make decisions you can trust.

Practical tips for working with color

Start with the mood. Do you want the room to be calm, energetic or earthy? Choose one basic tone and build a palette from it using theme families.

Make a mood board. Use pictures, pieces of fabric and OIKOS color charts. Place everything side by side on paper or a wall and try out combinations.

Test in the light. Paste the colour sample on the wall and observe the tone in the morning, afternoon and evening. The direction and intensity of the light will change the colour.

Match with materials. Place the colour sample next to the flooring, worktop or upholstery to create a functional whole.

Use the Colour Selection collection. Choose a color from one theme family and pair it with shades designed to work with it.
